Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Specialist III is responsible for ensuring that all materials, products, and procurement processes meet established quality and safety standards. This role provides advanced support in materials management and procurement activities, coordinating with project leads, Subject Matter Experts, and warehouse personnel while utilizing multiple web-based portals. The position requires expertise in procurement techniques, acquisition processes, and quality assurance practices to maintain compliance and optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Provide expert guidance on material management in accordance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
* Collaborate with each Project Lead, or SME to manage material for the respective projects. This includes material in direct support of laboratories, material in production, material stored in the command warehouse, and material that requires shipping.
* Manage recurring work assigned in general terms; more complex assignments include information on methods, procedures, sources of information and precedents to be followed.
* Prepare required documentation to support service and material procurements.
* Receipt, Gain, Issue, and Transfer project material in Maximo as directed.
* Analyze and resolves problems encountered either independently or in a group setting.
* Promotes quality assurance and customer service by developing and promoting best practices in material management.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Accountable For:
* Ability to work with NIWC Atlantic and other vendors, program/project managers, and SMEs.
* Ability to be familiar with Navy supply management.
