Responsibilities: Our newest opportunity is for a talented QA/QC Material Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Dubai - UAE The QA/QC Material Engineer will be responsible for the technical evaluation, inspection, testing, and approval of materials, ensuring durability, performance, and sustainability standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. We envisage success in this role to include; * Evaluate and approve material submittals in line with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements (e.g., RTA, Dubai Municipality). * Review manufacturer certificates, test results, and compliance documents for materials including asphalt, concrete, aggregates, geotextiles, reinforcement, and pipes. * Ensure traceability and proper documentation of all materials delivered and utilized on site. * Supervise and verify laboratory and field testing of construction materials such as Proctor tests, asphalt mix designs, slump tests, compressive strength tests, and sieve analysis. * Monitor and assess third-party laboratory performance to ensure accurate and timely testing. * Witness material trials, mock-ups, and first delivery inspections to verify compliance with approved standards. * Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) specific to material testing and approval. * Ensure material sampling and testing procedures meet project QA/QC and contractual requirements. * Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to material quality issues and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. * Maintain organized records of all material approvals, test results, and supplier compliance documentation. * Prepare and submit weekly and monthly quality reports related to material compliance and status. * Support the QA/QC Manager and Resident Engineer during internal and external audits, inspections, and quality reviews. * Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and laboratories to resolve material quality concerns. * Liaise with client representatives (e.g., RTA, DM) during inspections and for material approvals. * Attend site quality meetings and provide expert input regarding material performance and specification compliance. Qualifications: To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years of broad-based engineering and project management experience, partnered with a Bachelor Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. Proven experience in QA/QC materials engineering for roads and infrastructure projects, preferably within the UAE.
