An opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst to work next door to cottage country! Inteqna Markham is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Analyst to work with our client, located in Lindsay Ontario. You ll be responsible for creating end-to-end test plans, and executing the plan, and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and the solution works as expected. These solutions will be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility. Accountability: * Assist in defining testing methodologies and quality control standards. * Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understand of deliverables. * Identify and test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. * Work in direct collaboration with Business Analysts to understand requirements and develop test plans, test cases and verify test results. Provide regular reports of testing results to Business Analysts. * Executes and creates test plans and clear, concise test scripts for new products or enhancements to existing products. Defines comprehensive scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing. * Schedules and performs functional, integrating, regression, and releases testing; submits errors and issues to development for correction, and retests once errors have been corrected. Reports test results and status as appropriate. Tracks defects and causal analysis to closure. * Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. * Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. * Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. * Isolate, replicate and report defects and verify defect fixes. * Prepare required test documentation, store and retain as per department standards and procedures. Requirements: * Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical field or satisfactory combination of formal education and experience. * 5 plus years of practical experience in an IT technology department * 3 plus years supporting business systems * 3- 5 plus years of relevant QA technical experience in Back end Database and ETL process testing * Experience in Performance and Load testing of SQL Server Database * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Strong knowledge regarding the creation of test plans from business and technical requirement. * Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, understanding of test design and testing methodologies. * Strong ability to perform software quality testing with accuracy and timeliness, and ability to review system and functional requirements and extract data to use in preparation of test plans and scripts. * Strong ability to use independent judgement to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload, and the ability to define complex level test cases and scenarios. * Good working knowledge of P & C Insurance Industry. * Strong problem resolution abilities while applying industry standard best practices.
