Overview:
Are you the kind of person who spots the difference between navy and midnight blue? Does a mismatched order make you cringe? Good - you're exactly who we need.
As our Purchasing Clerk, you'll play a vital behind-the-scenes role, inspecting every delivery like a quality-control ninja. From fresh produce to paper goods, you'll ensure everything that comes into the hotel meets the gold standard - no wilting lettuce or off-brand napkins allowed! You'll work closely with our Food & Beverage and Purchasing departments to confirm that all products, both edible and not-so-edible, are exactly what we ordered - nothing more, nothing less. Prompt, precise, and powered by attention to detail, you'll be the first set of eyes (and maybe the most important) in our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
At Omni, we're all in - every shift, every delivery, every detail. As our Purchasing Clerk, you'll be a key part of the heartbeat behind our operation, ensuring every item that enters our building meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and care. You're not just checking boxes - you're protecting our promise of excellence.
Here's how you'll make the magic happen:
Inspect with Intention - Carefully check each shipment against purchase orders and invoices - confirming that the quantity, quality, size, weight, pricing, and expiration dates are spot on. If something's off, you catch it before it hits the floor.
Seal the Deal - Sign and date each invoice and packing slip to confirm everything's accounted for. You're the final checkpoint in our quality chain.
Keep the Records Right - Input receipts into our system with accuracy and speed, supporting a seamless flow to Accounts Payable. Daily documentation = daily excellence.
Communicate Like a Pro - Shortage? Delay? You're the first to speak up. Alert the F&B Purchasing Manager immediately so we can stay one step ahead.
Run the Numbers - Prepare and distribute daily reports for food, beverage, and open purchase orders. These numbers keep our teams aligned and operations running strong.
Team Player in Action - Assist the storeroom team with filling requisitions and keeping our storage areas sparkling clean and organized. A clean storeroom is a happy storeroom!
Support Inventory Success - Pitch in with month-end inventory counts - accuracy here means better decisions hotel-wide.
Close It Down Right - Follow end-of-day procedures to the letter: cooler doors shut, everything locked, keys tagged, and logs completed. You leave things better than you found them.
Tools You'll Use - You'll be hands-on with our systems and equipment - including computers, phones, printers, pallet jacks, and more. You've got the tools, and you know how to use them.
Partners in Service - Work closely with chefs, F&B leaders, and associates across departments. Every interaction is a chance to build trust, deliver excellence, and live the Omni Service Tradition.
