Responsibilities:
* Supervise a team of Property/Senior Accountants
* Ensure financial integrity of properties assigned to team by reviewing monthly financial reports
* Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service and escalate as appropriate
* Perform audit liaison responsibilities for internal and external financial audits
* Assist in new property onboarding and dispositions as assigned
* Ensure critical dates are met (taxes, insurance, debt payments, etc.)
* Effectively communicate team updates to Controller weekly
* Participate in the execution of strategic initiates such as Information Technology, Policies and Procedures, etc
* Use of detailed technical accounting skills to assess appropriateness of accounting treatment
* Ensure cash flow management to pay the property expenses and to adequately predict the need for funding
* Participate in interviewing/hiring team, performance reviews, goal setting and employee developmental planning
* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
* May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
* Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
* Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
* May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
* Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
Work Environment:
* This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week
* The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
