The position: The Property Accounting Analyst will be responsible for supporting the reporting and analytical goals as it relates to the Property Accounting function. The focal point for this position is to review financial packages to identify areas of improvement, and gather information to help identify, track, and report key performance indicators for the Property Accounting Team.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the development and implementation of the property accounting's reporting/analytics team goals including identifying key focal areas and efficient strategies to collect accurate data
* Maintain current and accurate reporting/analysis checklists, complete assigned tasks on time, and communicate reason for any delays
* Review monthly financial reporting packages and document deviations from standard policies and procedures
* Collaborate with the Property Accounting Team to fully understand the reason for deviations from standard policies and procedures
* Prepare analytical reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial information and key performance indicators to effectively and accurately report results and identify trends
* Other responsibilities as assigned to help support department and team goals

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
* 3+ Years of Property Management Accounting Experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
* Tableau and Salesforce experience preferred
* Preferred Industry Specific Software: Yardi, RealPage/Onesite, Entrata

Physical Requirements:

* May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
* Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
* Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
* May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
* Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

* This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week
* The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
