Responsibilities:
GFT is seeking a Project Manager, Water Wastewater to join our Water Team in McAllen, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our McAllen TX office.

What you'll be challenged to do:
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Project Manager with experience in McAllen Texas Public Utilities projects.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Participation on project teams in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure facilities and projects
* Coordination of work activities by various technical staff and consultants including developing and implementing study and design standards for consultants to follow, including leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking project schedules, and budgets.
* Preparation of design plans for large wastewater treatment facilities, including specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.
* Coordination of work activities and communication with various municipalities and governmental regulating agencies.
* Oversight of construction contract management and observation services
* Preparation of reports and permit applications
* Supervision and mentorship of junior-level engineers
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* BS in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (MS is preferred)
* A minimum of 10 years of experience required in water/wastewater, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing (study, plans and specifications) water and/or wastewater infrastructure (i.e. treatment and collection/distribution projects)
* Professional Engineer License is required or ability to obtain in Texas within 6 months
* Full project life experience in the evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems.
* Small and large diameter pipe design experience a plus.
* Project experience with McAllen Public Utilities or TXDOT required.
* Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or BIM is preferred.
* Doer/Seller possessing strong planning, organizational, and business development skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.
* Familiar with basic Storm Drain Design
* Familiar with Basic Elements of Roadway Design

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
