Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 33 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities:
3- 7 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) Project Management field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within IT. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive broad-based information systems, system integration and project delivery experience. Experience working with external vendors, deliverables, and/or Quality Assurance (QA) efforts a plus.

Project management experience on software development projects including: the preparation of project related documentation; planning & managing project activities; and the implementation of 1 - 4 simultaneous projects or maintenance activities.

Create or support the development and maintenance of complete project management plans and project schedules that include all WBS elements of the project business such as milestones and critical path activities.

Experience in planning and monitoring the project scope, timelines and budget; in addition to directing staff members, handling change requests, forecasting budgets and keeping project activities within allotted time constraints.

Ensure the timely posting of all required project management artifacts and approvals in compliance with our methodology standards.

Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC), data migration and data integration (including mainframe).
5+
Strong interpersonal, written/verbal/presentation communication skills in English; and well versed with MS Office suite of products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Including the ability to perform research and provide solutions for issues and risks that allow for informed agency decision making.

As needed, ability to perform detailed work related to development of requirements, functional design documentation, system test definition and use case development.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high- pressure environment.

Experience with the development and improvement of policies and procedures.
Experience in Oil and Gas industry as well as general compliance and enforcement related projects as a Project Manager.
Proven ability to lead multifaceted teams; resolve conflict; and
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
