Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Project Manager for one of our clients. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress. Primary work location is on the Washington, DC area.
Responsibilities:
* Project/Program/Account Management on a large IT technical enterprise project which include end user services, network, cloud, data, etc.). rovide oversight managing multiple task orders.
* Develop long and short range strategic plans, tactical plans, technology roadmaps. This includes supporting business cases, budgets, project schedules, and performance goals.
* Implement business system transformation using Agile development, delivery, and sustainment processes, practices, and methodologies, within a rapidly changing environment to achieve specific objectives within targeted timeline and budget.
* Assist government agencies in consolidating disparate information technology labs into a centralized and secure environment that mimics development, testing, and production environments on an enterprise scale.
* Review and assistance regarding pass back responses from OMB.
* Implement and manage ITSM as defined by standards such as ISO 20000, throughout an organization.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission data centers.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission general and special-purpose devices and software that are programmed to carry out a set of arithmetic or logical operations.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission IT storage, to include centralized data storage and other efforts to securely hold information and data that may be retrieved later.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission IT networks, to include data and voice equipment along with the transport methods to connect systems and people and to enable people to converse.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission IT platforms, to include support services associated with distributed and mainframe databases and middleware systems.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission IT outputs, to include central print services to provide high-volume printing of customer bills, checks, product documentation or other customer support materials.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission IT solutions for end Users, which includes end user computing devices and support for end users.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission applications in the enterprise.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain, and deactivate/decommission IT delivery to include the services for monitoring, supporting, managing, and running IT operations for the enterprise, and services for IT Service Management (ITSM) functions.
* Provide services to obtain, develop, operate, maintain IT security and compliance, to include services for IT security compliance and disaster recovery.
* Provide services to perform, obtain, develop, operate, maintain IT Management service, to include services to manage, administer & plan IT for the enterprise.
Qualifications:
* Required BA/BS or higher level of education (Must be from an accredited university with a preference for a major in Information Technology (greater preference for a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Information Technology).
* ITIL v3 or later certification required.
* Active PMP certification.
* Minimum of 5 years in project management.
* Minimum of 10 years overall applicable experience.
* Experienced in managing several projects at a time and of varying types of contracts.
* Knowledgeable in the following areas: Data Centers Services, Compute Services, Services for Storage, Services for Networks, Services for Platforms, Services for Output, Services for End User Solutions, Application Development/Support, Delivery (IT Service Management, Program, Product & Project Management, Client Management, Operations Center -Services), Security & Compliance, and IT Management.
* Expert knowledge in Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) methodologies.
* Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
* Must be able to work independently, with little to no oversight.
* Must have and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Must be able to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
* Must have worked on at least one project of similar scope within the past three (3) years with a total contract value greater than $10M and global delivery in a highly complex environment.
* Provide oversight or management of at least one project that has been conducted in accordance with a Capability Maturity Model Integration Institute (CMMI) certified, Agile, and/or ITIL approach.
