Responsibilities:
We're seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a good background in IT and hands-on experience with cloud technologies, databases, IT infrastructure, DevOps, AI, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Initiation and Planning: Develop detailed project charters and scope statements. Create comprehensive work breakdown structures (WBS). Perform customer analysis and develop management strategies.
Scope Management: Define and document project requirements. Implement scope control measures and organisational change processes. Conduct regular scope reviews to prevent scope creep.
Schedule Management: Build and maintain project timeline using critical path methodology. Implement resource levelling techniques. Supervise and control schedule performance using earned value management.
Budget and Cost Management: Prepare detailed project budgets and cost estimates. Track and report on project financials. Implement cost control measures and variance analysis.
Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management plans. Conduct quality assurance activities and quality control checks. Facilitate process improvement initiatives.
Resource Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively across project activities. Manage team performance and provide mentorship. Coordinate with functional managers for resource acquisition.
Communications Management: Develop and implement communication plans. Facilitate regular status meetings and produce progress reports. Manage collaborator expectations and ensure alignment.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize project risks. Develop and implement risk response strategies. Manage and resolve project issues promptly.
Procurement Management: Coordinate with vendors and contractors. Supervise contract management and supplier performance.
Customer Management: Identify and analyze customer needs and expectations. Develop and implement customer engagement strategies. Ensure customer happiness through regular feedback and surveys.
Project Closure: Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned. Ensure accurate knowledge transfer and documentation. Acquire formal project sign-off and archive project records.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
* 7+ years of technical project management experience in IT
* Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, databases, IT infrastructure, DevOps, or AI
* Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
* Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies
* Experience with multiple project management methodologies
