GFT is seeking a Project Manager to join our Architecture or Engineering Team in Honolulu! This role affords the option of a hybrid work-model reporting to an office or the option of working remotely.

What you'll be challenged to do:

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to help grow and lead our presence in Hawaii. This individual can be an Architect or Engineer with experience delivering complex projects, guiding diverse teams, and fostering meaningful client relationships. Rooted in Hawaiian values of collaboration and respect, this role will focus on both leading project delivery and shaping the future of our local office through mentorship and team growth.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

* Lead Projects - Direct multidisciplinary teams from planning and design through construction, ensuring high-quality deliverables, timely completion, and alignment with client goals.
* Grow Our Presence - Represent GFT in Hawaii, developing trusted client relationships, expanding our market share, and positioning us as a long-term partner in the community.
* Mentor & Recruit - Build and guide a strong local team by mentoring junior staff, supporting professional development, and recruiting new talent aligned with our culture.
* Foster Collaboration - Coordinate across disciplines, including architects, engineers, planners, and consultants, to deliver integrated solutions.
* Uphold Quality - Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client expectations while promoting innovation and constructability.
* Champion Community & Culture - Engage with the local community and honor Hawaiian values of respect, balance, and teamwork in all aspects of work.

Qualifications:

What you will bring to our firm: 
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering (Master's preferred).
* 12-15+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated success managing large and complex projects.
* Professional Licensure: Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.
* Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong track record of client development and relationship management.
* Experience recruiting, mentoring, and developing staff.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead presentations and engage stakeholders.
* Technical expertise with industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite).

What we prefer you bring: 

* Previous work on federal, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
* Familiarity with local Hawaiian regulations, permitting, and construction practices.
* Experience in business development and proposal preparation (seller/doer mindset).
* Background in site development, utilities, or aviation/transportation projects a plus.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $225,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
