EO/AA This position coordinates the on-site construction engineering activities for a project. The incumbent provides the overall coordination and completion of the project through the direction of the Construction Project Superintendent. This position has no responsibility for providing patient care. Responsibilities: * Organizes and plans projects to ensure that the job is completed in a timely and efficient manner. * Acts as liaison to outside contractors in order to schedule and follow-up on the work to be done. * Visits assigned project sites regularly to ensure compliance to project plans and specifications, and checks for quality of construction, safety violations, and negative air. * Assists in the review of plans and specifications for construction and remodeling projects. * Ensures projects comply with specifications and requirements. * Attends plan review meetings with the architect and engineers to better understand the project and asks appropriate questions regarding construction functions. * Performs quality control functions. * Plans, assigns, schedules, and coordinates the daily work force on the job site. * Instructs and trains employees in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities * Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. * Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. * Ability to use standard computer applications. * Ability to lead the work of others. Qualifications: QualificationsRequired * Six (6) years of experience working in construction trade areas. * Depending upon department of hire, a valid, State of Utah Driver's License may be required.
