Inteqna Toronto is recruiting for a Junior Project Coordinator to work on a three month contract for their client located in Waterloo. Overview: The Project Coordinator role has direct responsibility to provide support to Program & Project Management with a range of tracking, coordinating, documentation and issues management activities across the Project Management life cycle. The development path for this role is exposure to and development of through Project Management competencies. Responsibilities/Job Functions: - * Supporting effective management of projects to deliver on time, on cost and according to client quality expectations * Build/demonstrate strong understanding of project management standards across the PM lifecycle. * Assist Project Managers and Program Director in preparing cost/benefit analyses and business case diligence * Demonstrate a firm dedication to the Project Manager & Program Director s goals and objectives relative to the project. * Assist the Project Manager & Program Director in the development of project plans that effectively align scope, time, cost, quality, resources, risk, communication and procurement in a manner that enables highly coordinated execution and control. - * Assist the Project Manager & Program Director in tracking, monitoring and following up on appropriate risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle- * Assist the Project Manager & Program Director to ensure that change, acceptance and approval management is proactive and effective on all projects. * Assist the Project Manager & Program Director in developing Project specific presentations as requested. * Ensure that appropriate processes, tools and techniques are used by the project teams- * Assist the Project Manager & Program Director in timely communication between project teams and their stakeholders * Proactively escalates project issues and risks that require Project Manager and Program Director attention * Assist the Project Manager in effectively and consistently delivering project status reporting updates on project accomplishments against milestones * Assist the Project Manager & Program Director in coordinating Project and Program meetings as requested * Ability to take detailed minutes and actions resulting from Project Meetings- Manages the Central Database Repository for all Projects within scope of the Project/Program assigned- * Demonstrates interest in and accountability for personal and professional development. - * Works closely with other Project Personnel and Administrative staff to ensure continuity of expectations and deliverables. Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Competencies: * Position requires 2+ years coordination/administration experience, supporting medium to large technical/business projects environments. * Experience in a Lotus Notes environment- Requires strong interpersonal, communication, motivational, organizational and planning skills. * Knowledge of project techniques, tools and methodologies with experience in project management. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical, business and project management people to proactively manage project issues logs, risk logs, status reports, etc * High level of skill using Lotus Notes, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio If you are interested please send your resume to Hubert D Souza at HDSouza@inteqna.com Inteqna would like to thank all candidates for their interest in this opportunity.
