Overview:
The Program Manager, Advisor, oversees complex global manufacturing site to site transfer programs to ensure alignment with business goals, budget adherence, and quality standards. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers, focusing on planning, execution, timeline/resource management, risk mitigation, and reporting program status and performance metrics.
This role is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. Your work location can be either Linoclnshire, IL, Austin, TX, McAllen, TX or Holtsville, NY. Zebra reserves the right to modify your work location based on business need.
Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for program/product transfers.
* Define program scope, technical requirements, and metrics to measure success.
* Responsible for the execution of multiple large-scale transfer programs/products.
* Implement program plans while ensuring expenses remain within budget and funds are not allocated to unrelated items. Adhere to the purchase order (PO) process, ensuring POs are created and approved before placing orders.
* Analyze and interpret data to identify process improvement and automation opportunities within the network execution organization, such as improving processes, templates, and systems.
* Use continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma to improve Network Execution processes.
* Lead the day-to-day execution of network programs, coordinating activities across various technical and business teams.
* Manage project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure timely completion.
* Monitor program performance, track progress against goals, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Interface with internal and external stakeholders to develop executable program plans from ambiguous requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners, and vendors to ensure alignment and support.
* Clearly communicate program status, risks, and issues to management and relevant stakeholders.
* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure program success.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues during program execution, removing barriers for the project team.
* Ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout program implementation.
* Assume accountability (both self and for the indirect project team) for program success against objectives. Gather status updates from the project team and consolidate inputs into a unified status report. Provide regular updates to senior management as required. Ensure milestone alignment with key leaders before advancing the program.
* Provide functional leadership for Program Management teams, including mentoring and advising junior Program Managers.
* Prepare and persuasively present status updates and other deliverables to senior-level audiences.
* Independently engage additional resources as needed to address obstacles or delays. Proactively recommend solutions for issue resolution.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, MS preferred with 8+ years' experience, plus experience leading teams
* Proven experience in project and program management, including managing large-scale Manufacturing transfer programs/products.
* Proven experience in manufacturing operations, with a strong knowledge of demand planning, product processes, quality and Lean Six Sigma as well as the ability to measure process effectiveness using metrics.
* Experience working with JDM's.
* PMP certification is highly desired.
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Effective in presenting and communicating (both verbal and written) and facilitating discussions with peers and senior-level audiences.
* Proficient in MS Office or similar tools.
