Overview:
Production Manufacturing Supervisor (Nights) - Waters Longbridge
Join Waters at our brand-new, state-of-the-art machining centre in Longbridge. We're looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a talented team working with the latest GF Milling, Mazak Multi Axis turning, Studer Grinding and Zeiss, Hexagon and Mitutoyo CMM technology.
This is a full-time, permanent role on a permanent night shift, offering a competitive salary, excellent shift allowance and great company benefits.
Responsibilities:
What you'll do
* Lead and motivate a team of Manufacturing Technicians coordinating day-to-day production activities, safety, quality, on-time delivery and product costs to achieve company KPI's and targets
* Drive continuous improvement by supporting lean initiatives including:o 5S, Kaizen and OEE
* Maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards and support Product Quality initiatives
* Support recruitment, training, development, performance management and annual appraisals
* Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Planning functions to enable production schedules to be met
* Ensure safe working practices and strong housekeeping standards
Qualifications:
What you'll bring
* Apprentice-trained or HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Proven supervisory experience and people management skills in a precision machining environment
* Strong CNC knowledge
* Ability to read engineering drawings (GD&T) and inspect components
* Confident communicator and decision maker with solid organisational and problem-solving skills

Shift Pattern:
Permanent night shift. (9pm - 6.45am 4 days a week).
