HOW THIS ROLE SUPPORTS OUR MISSION
The Production Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the effective, safe, and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility. Reporting to the COO, this position is responsible for aligning plant performance with organizational goals, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining strict adherence to food safety and regulatory compliance. Working closely with department leaders, the Plant Manager leads cross-functional efforts to optimize productivity, control costs, and foster a high-performance culture. This role requires a hands-on, strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term business objectives in a dynamic food production environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring effective implementation of SOPs, food safety programs, and quality standards.
* Provide direct mentorship to department leaders and managers, building a culture of accountability, growth, and performance.
* Develop effective communication systems across all levels of the organization to keep teams aligned with company objectives.
* Identify training needs and facilitate opportunities for staff development and advancement.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement, P&L performance, and customer service excellence.
* Conduct performance evaluations, annual reviews, and salary adjustments; establishes team goals and KPIs.
* Manage cost controls, monitors job costs with CFO, and escalates concerns about overruns or delays.
* Develop production plans aligned with customer demand and company objectives.
* Tracks and adjusts plant KPIs, labor utilization, and productivity metrics for optimal results.
* Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, and internal policies across all shifts.
* Lead accident investigations and maintains safety procedures to reduce risk and ensure a secure work environment.
* Use data, analytics, and technology to inform decision-making, reduce costs, and drive improvements.
* Coach and disciplines staff as needed, maintaining accurate records of performance and incidents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze trends, resolve problems, and implement cost-effective solutions.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives, competing priorities, and operational improvements.
* Technically savvy with ERP systems, Excel, analytics tools, and production tracking systems.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
