Overview:
Our Intelligent Automation (IA) Portfolio Marketing team is looking for a product messaging and use case strategist with a strong understanding of automation technologies and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, customer-focused narratives. This role ensures that every offering within our IA portfolio (Machine Vision, Fixed Industrial Scanning, RFID) has a compelling narrative and validated use cases from the earliest stage of the product lifecycle. Acting as the bridge between Product Management, Product Marketing and Partner Enablement, this role will help shape the messaging and competitive advantages behind our solutions and ensure alignment across teams for successful go-to-market execution. Some responsibilities will include strategic planning, providing valuable input regarding the market and engage in product management functions for the portfolio of products.
Must be able to work on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 remote) in our Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY office
Travel expectation - Up to 25%
Responsibilities:
* Engage early in the product development cycle to identify and shape use cases and product narratives before launch.
* Capture, document, and standardize validated automation use cases from product & solutions teams, partner collaborations, CoEs, and field projects.
* Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Product Marketers to translate technical features into customer-centric benefits and compelling stories.
* Assist the communications team in maintaining a consistent flow of information to keep partners informed about new use case opportunities and updates.
* Establish a systematic approach for publishing use case success stories, from initial capture to marketing assets and sales enablement tools.
* Prepare messaging and collateral well ahead of launch deadlines to avoid last-minute gaps.
* Collaborate on product refresh, and retire programs, working in alignment with vertical marketing leads, channel marketing managers and field marketing managers based on quarterly business results reported by regional product management team and portfolio-based pipeline reports.
* Accountable for very selective activation of global product marketing sourced content in marquee horizontal media outlets & events and targeted activation of inbound digital (SEO/SEM) campaigns for top tier products critical to the regional annual P&L.
* Drive sales use cases and propositions for portfolio-specific overlay sales teams
* Responsible for monitoring and driving organizational response to primary competitors' regional marketing campaigns, messaging, etc.
* Consult with regional GTM teams to course correct or lead new strategies to grow the business on your respective portfolio
* Successful seller adoption of enablement materials - Voice of customer o.b.o region into global product marketing team
Qualifications:
Minimum:
* BA/BS degree
* 8+ years of work in sales/engineering/marketing roles
* Product marketing and/or comparable product management, development experience
* Working knowledge of automation technology market
* Ability to technically understand how products fit in to create and deliver a solution
* Must be able to work on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 remote) in either our Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY location
* Travel expectation - Up to 25%
