				Overview:

The Process Engineer supports day-to-day foundry operations by improving processes, reducing scrap, and ensuring consistent production of quality castings. This role works closely with production, quality, and sales to troubleshoot issues, support quoting, maintain manufacturing data, and implement practical process improvements across the plant.

Compensation: $75,000-$90,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

* Develop, evaluate, and improve foundry processes for manufacturing metal castings
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency and reduce scrap rates
* Maintain and update Bill of Manufacturing data in ERP system
* Monitor and analyze production data to ensure processes are within specified parameters
* Design injection molds and necessary fixtures for production parts
* Provide sales with engineering assistance for accurate quoting
* Collaborate with quality control departments to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications
* Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues in a timely manner
* Maintain up-to-date documentation of all process procedures and adjustments
* Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning of foundry equipment
* Conduct training sessions for foundry staff on new processes and equipment
* Assist with ongoing 5S improvements throughout the plant

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (required)
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
* Experience with metal casting processes and foundry operations (preferred)
* Familiarity with CAD software and GD&T (SolidWorks preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint); MRP/ERP experience preferred
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC)
* Ability to interpret and analyze technical data, drawings, and specifications
* Proficiency in process control tools and techniques
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to travel up to 5% as required
