				Overview:

The Sourcing and Reverse Logistics Manager will be the leader of the sourcing function in the new CPO (certified pre-owned) program at Waters, responsible for building and executing the instrument sourcing strategy from the ground up. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who can work independently while maintaining strong alignment with cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thrives in ambiguous environments, and has a proven track record of building supplier networks and procurement processes in a startup or new business context.

Responsibilities:

The Sourcing and Reverse Logistics Manager will be the leader of the sourcing function in the new CPO (certified pre-owned) program at Waters, responsible for building and executing the instrument sourcing strategy from the ground up. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who can work independently while maintaining strong alignment with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications:
Required
* 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
* Experience with reverse logistics, trade-in programs, or secondary market sourcing preferred
* Demonstrated experience building sourcing functions, supplier networks, or procurement processes in a new business or startup environment
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost targets
* Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong self-direction and accountability
* Excellent analytical skills and make data-driven decisions
* Strong communication skills; able to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership remotely
* Willingness to travel 25-40% as required
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
Preferred
* Experience in scientific instruments, medical devices, capital equipment, or similar industries
* Familiarity with refurbishment, remanufacturing, or certified pre-owned business models
* Experience with ERP systems and procurement software
* MBA or advanced degree
