Responsibilities:
GFT is seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our Transportation Practice in Atlanta GA! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at this location.
What you'll be challenged to do:
The immediate and primary focus of the Principal Project Manager will be on promoting business development, manage and contribute to large projects and ensure financial viability of the business line in Georgia long-term. You should also offer extensive management experience related to roadway, bridge, hydrology/hydraulics, and infrastructure design projects.
You will be responsible for building and nurturing client relationship management, while also identifying, contributing to and leading business and strategic development initiatives for regional objectives and target client programming.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Work collaboratively with GFT's business lines and other offices to identify and pursue opportunities with Georgia area public, municipal & private clients.
* Develop and execute growth & hiring strategy in the Georgia Market and SE Region.
* Provide thought leadership, regulatory oversight and mentorship to the developing and growing team and your clients, both internal and external.
* Champion quality, excellence & other relevant corporate initiatives.
* Serve as project manager on key assignments
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* 15 + years of related project experience on municipal roadway projects in Georgia and the Greater Atlanta area.
* Licensed Professional Engineer designation required.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
* Direct experience in a project manager capacity with state, regional and local clients.
* Established relationships and proven experience winning pursuits with public and private clients in the region area.
* Technical excellence in civil & roadway design
* A thorough understanding of the requirements and complexities of the design and management of multi-disciplinary projects, such as utility coordination, construction staging, traffic management, public consultation, external agency approvals, communication and liaison, coordination of sub-consultants and design groups, schedule and budget control, quality control, construction administration and claims resolution.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
