Our client offers a 9/80 work week. This is a full-time, direct hire that includes a base salary, incentives and a comprehensive benefits plan. A full relocation package is provided.
We seek a seasoned aerospace - mechanical systems engineer who has proven success in the concept through productization of complex software controlled, precision, electromechanical systems with excellent hands-on technical depth and breadth in electromechanical actuators. You will be a hands-on, technologically - versatile leader with project management skills including proposal generation, budget and cost management, design reviews, task planning and prioritization, risk management, monthly progress reports, and customer management ... from concept through final acceptance. A proven coach and mentor. This position exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives for the review, research, design, and development.
You will be responsible for ... Blank sheet conceptualization; Bottoms-up requirements development; Layouts and trade studies; Working with Electrical Engineering to specify motor configuration; Collaborating with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop solutions that meet system level requirements; Detail design. Working with both in-house and vendor-partner resources to analyze and define components (gears, bearings, ball screws, roller screws, gear cases, housings, output shafts, etc.). You will overseeing ... Prototype manufacture and assembly; Prototype engineering qualification; Prototype integration; Productization; and Sustaining support.
Aerospace flight controls (missile, aircraft, UAS - UAV). Algorithm development - optimization. Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. Experimental and analytical modal and servo analyses. Digital feedback controls. Hardware in the loop simulation. FEA modal analyses. Patent - IP processes.
Pluses: PhD/MS Engineering. Robotics. Mechatronics.
