Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the manager/director and according to departmental policies and nursing care standards, assist in overseeing and directing work of nursing personnel engaging in providing patient/nursing care services to patients on assigned shifts. Demonstrates accountability for ensuring safe high quality patient care, enhance the patient /family experience, and provide effective leadership contributing to the delivery of the organization's objectives. Determines work priorities, prepares daily work assignments, and serves as a resource person for unit personnel resolving operational and patient care problems. Will be scheduled and required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education:
* Bachelors of Science in Nursing required
* License/Certifications:
* Current State License as a Registered Nurse required.
* BLS and ACLS, PALS, or other certification as required by unit.
* Experience:
* 2 years of experience on the unit or similar unit required.
* Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively lead and direct the work of other employees in order to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians.
