At SoftwareOne, our Pre-Sales Consultants are trusted technical leaders-not just support roles. You'll join our Infrastructure & Services practice, working closely with sales, customers, vendors, and delivery teams to design modern, resilient, and efficient data center and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
This role combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen, allowing you to influence customer strategy while ensuring every solution is technically sound, deliverable, and profitable.
Objectives
You will act as the primary technical authority for Infrastructure & Services opportunities, proactively identifying customer needs, shaping solution visions, and converting them into complete technology and services offerings that drive long-term customer value and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively engage with customers to identify technical pain points and modernization opportunities across data center and hybrid infrastructure environments.
* Lead solution scoping, architectural design, and service definition (Professional & Managed Services).
* Own the creation and presentation of technical proposals and Statements of Work (SoW).
* Collaborate closely with sales, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are viable, competitive, and profitable.
* Support the sales cycle end-to-end, from discovery through proposal and customer presentations.
* Contribute to reusable solution collateral, best practices, and technical knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Essential
* Strong expertise in modern data center technologies (servers, storage, virtualization, backup & data protection).
* Experience designing and positioning infrastructure and services solutions to enterprise customers.
* Ability to independently lead technical discussions with engineering, management, and executive stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
* A proactive, consultative mindset focused on solving business problems through technology.
Desirable
* Experience working with vendors such as Dell, HPE, VMware, Nutanix, Veeam, or CommVault.
* Exposure to Professional and/or Managed Services design
* Relevant technical or partner certifications.
* Experience working with international customers or distributed teams.
