Responsibilities:

The Pre- and Post-Surgery Nurse provides, coordinates, and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team, providing leadership, personal/professional development, and conducting him/herself professionally. Provide care for pre-procedure/post-procedure (diagnostic and treatment procedures) patients and intra-procedure patients (including but not limited to: endoscopy, TEE, cardioversion, regional blocks).

Floating to the outpatient surgery center may be required.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

* Current California RN license required
* One (1) year of Telemetry experience in an acute care setting as an RN
* Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
* Procedural Sedation Certification

Preferred:

* Previous pre- and post-surgery experience is highly preferred
* Critical care experience (PACU, ER, ICU, or equivalent)
