Responsibilities:

How you'll make an impact in this role 

* Operates, controls, and safely shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant systems, including low and high-pressure steam boilers, turbines, generators, chillers, and HVAC equipment using control boards and sequential switches. 

* Monitors meters, gauges, and computer indicators at regular intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and diagnose potential equipment malfunctions or operating problems. 

* Conducts troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on facility equipment, which may extend to pneumatic tube systems, medical vacuums, water sampling/testing, or general maintenance mechanic duties. 

* Compiles precise operational data by completing forms, maintaining logs, writing malfunction reports, and managing emergency communications and personnel call-ins during power outages. 

* Supports plant leadership by assisting with team work assignments, training colleagues on daily equipment operations, and participating in workshops, training seminars, and assigned special projects

Qualifications:

What minimum requirements you'll need 

Education:  

* High School Diploma or equivalent. 

* Completion of an accredited Boiler Operator learning program. 

License:  

* Powerplant Operator, Boiler Operator, or Stationary Engineer License as required by local regulations.  

Experience:  

* 3 years of relevant experience. 

* Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local plant operations and boiler operation codes.
