				Overview:

This position is responsible for handling residential real estate closings from beginning to end. This includes keeping buyer, seller, real estate agent, lender and mortgage broker up to date throughout the transaction as well as clearing title, closing, balancing and disbursing escrow funds, recording documents to convey and insure title, and other ancillary tasks that relate to the issuance of title insurance in the State of NY. 

Responsibilities:

* Review residential purchase/sale contracts and comply with all terms.
* Review title commitment and clear curative items. Identify any potential issues or encumbrances and work to resolve.
* Prepare and issue Closing Protection Letters, title curative documents and transfer documents.
* Coordinate Closings with all parties involved.
* Ensure compliance that all transactions meet the regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
* Ensure all documents are properly recorded within the proper counties.
* Develop and maintain good working relations with customers, as well as the policies and goals of Mason Title.
* Handle customers confidential information in a professional manner
* Handle other duties or special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

* One to Four years of experience as an Escrow/Title Agent
* Notary license - If candidate does not have license they must have the ability to attain it within 90 days of employment.
* Ability to work without direct supervision, multi-task and meet deadlines.
* Good oral, written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Team player
* Knowledge of Resware and/or Qualia is beneficial but not necessary.

The expected salary range for this role is $19.00-$40.00/hour.
