Be a part of the pre-opening team for the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel!
Opening Fall 2025, the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.
The Pool Bar Manager is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures and lead a team of associates to provide memorable experiences to both guests and team members.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for overseeing High Tide pool bar
* Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management.
* Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
* Responsible for pool supervisors and pool associates
* Spot check liquor pars.
* Order daily supplies.
* Follow up on established training steps.
* Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
* Stay on the floor during peak hours.
* Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
* Observe, teach and elevate staff's service.
* Monitor each guest experience.
* Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
* Maintain condition of dining room.
* Scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
* Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
* Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.
* Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
* Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.
* Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
* Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.
* Must be highly organized
Qualifications:
* 3 years + in a Bar Manager role highly preferred
* Must have previous experience in a busy, fast paced working environment.
* Must have the ability to manage deadlines and support a team.
* Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is required
* General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.
* Must have understanding of beer, wine, and cocktail beverage creation knowledge.
* Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC - or obtain upon hire.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
* Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
* Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance.
