Job Summary: The Polar Express Event Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the polar express chefs, enssemble and Ticket Agents are providing services that create memorable experiences and exceed guest expectations while on board the Grand Canyon Railway train and ticketing office. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Seasonal Dates: 10.18.2025 to 12/31/2025 Pay: $20.05 an hour Schedule: ( 4 day work week minimum) * Must be available on * weekends ( Saturday & Sunday) * Three addition days between Monday - Friday. Employee Benefits & Perks: * Free Grand Canyon Railway Train Tickets! * Free Employee Run Train Tickets! * Property Discounts and More! * MEC ( Minimal Essential Coverage ) * Sick Time Responsibilities: * Fully understand and support Xanterra's Mission Statement, Cultural Pillars, Community Commitment and Core Values. * Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values. * Must accommodate our guests within established guidelines and in a professional manner and be able to effectively handle stressful situations in a public setting and resolve guest related problems in a professional manner. * Responsible for timely enforcement of all Xanterra and Grand Canyon Railway hospitality standards, procedures, policies and environmental program. * Responsible for direct supervision of the Polar Express Chef characters including but not limited to; scheduling, training, monitoring work/labor hours, directing the work, maintaining and evaluating levels of performance, monitoring appearance of passenger cars, assisting with guest reassignments. * Responsible for compliance with all health and safety regulations and enforcing sanitary practices and reporting train maintenance repair issues to the conductor. * Perform routine periodic walk-through in passenger cars; working closely with Polar Express Chefs, Polar Express Supervisors and Conductor to ensure, cleanliness of passenger train cars and all levels of guest service and train safety are being provided. * Maintains flexibility to work evening shifts, including shifts on holidays and weekends. Shifts are 6+/- hours per day. * Responsible for understanding and adhering to all prescribed Environmental Management Systems (EMS) policies and corporate commitments to maintain ISO 14001 goals and guidelines; reduce, reuse and recycle program. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: * Must have 1 years of leadership experience. * Must have 2 years of customer service experience. * Must possess a valid/clear Arizona Driver's License and be able to comply with the Xanterra/GCR Vehicle Policy. * Must be at least 19 years of age. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience with reservation systems * Previous bartending experience. * Experience working on a train or other similar areas is a plus Physical Requirements: * Constantly listening, hearing, seeing, and speaking. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly handling items up to 20 pounds. * Frequently standing, walking, sitting, reaching outward, climbing, and bending. * Occasionally reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting/kneeling, carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. * Will be required to stand and walk for long periods on cement floors and to occasionally walk on uneven surfaces and onboard a moving train.
