Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established practice in Clovis, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights: * 15-20 patients per day in clinic * Call coverage no more than 10 days per month * Duties include first assist, clinic, and inpatient rounding * Group will train as needed Responsibilities: Summary: Provides quality healthcare in collaboration with other health care providers in a general surgery clinic/practice. Responsibilities: * Performs history and physical assessments. * Manage acute and chronic conditions * Order, conduct and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests * Involved in teaching and counseling individuals, families and groups * Work autonomously as well as collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed. * Opportunity to assist in surgery * Serve as health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate * Administers preventative health care methods. * Periodic hospital rounding on inpatients. * Performs other functions as required. Credentials Required: For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC or AANP certification required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required.
