Responsibilities: Performs, under the responsibility and supervision of a physician, assessments, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and procedures, with acknowledgement of patient's age. He/she will plan, prescribe and treat in accordance with written protocols and within the area of competency of his/her supervising physician. Reports to the supervising physician for all medical concerns and to the Area Director for others. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. * Provides patient evaluation and education, medication management, development of ongoing treatment plans, and pre/post-injection evaluation/follow-up * Completes a history based on each patient's needs * Documents pertinent patient information including allergies, current medications and immunization history * Assures that each patient has appropriate vital signs documented * Performs and documents a physical examination appropriate to the patient's chief complaint and physical, social and behavioral condition * Appropriate diagnostic studies are ordered and their interpretation documented * An appropriate diagnosis or clinical impression is documented * Documents prescribed course of treatment. * Treatment/intervention is documented and appropriate * Re-evaluation is performed and documented after any treatment/intervention * Seeks out resources when cannot manage, feels uncomfortable or is in a new situation * Promptly intervenes in life-threatening situations We offer the following benefits to support you and your family: * Health/Dental/Vision Insurance * Flexible spending accounts * Voluntary Protection: Group Accident Critical Illness and Identity Theft * Adoption Assistance * Free Premium Membership to Care.com with preloaded credits for children and/or dependent adults * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Tuition Assistance for career growth and development * Retirement Programs * Wellness Programs Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS: * Preferably two years of primary care clinical Physician Assistance experience. * Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant training program. * Able to take medical history assess medical condition and interpret findings * Able to prepare and maintain records write reports and respond to correspondence Skill in developing and maintaining clinic quality assurance and a continuous quality improvement program. * Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with patients clinical staff and public. * Skill in staff training. * Able to work in spite of interruptions. * Able to meet deadlines under pressure. * Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Current California PA license from the California Medical Board Physician Assistant Examining Committee. * Must be CPR ACLS PALS certified.
