				Overview:

**This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**

The Physician Assistant (PA) provides independent and collaborative clinical medical services in support of LOGCAP/V2X healthcare operations. The PA delivers primary, urgent, and emergent care within the scope of practice granted by licensure, certification, clinical privileges, and applicable host nation and U.S. regulations. Services are performed in accordance with contract requirements, established clinical guidelines, and quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities:

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company

* Provide comprehensive medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for eligible beneficiaries.
* Perform patient histories, physical examinations, diagnostic assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
* Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests consistent with clinical privileges and licensure.
* Provide urgent and emergency medical care, including stabilization and coordination of evacuation when required.
* Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the approved medical record system.
* Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities.
* Adhere to infection control, patient safety, risk management, and clinical governance standards.
* Coordinate care with supervising or collaborating physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff as required.
* Comply with all LOGCAP, V2X, DoD, host nation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Maintain readiness to operate in austere, remote, or contingency environments.
* Rotation on-call may apply.
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* Education
* Bachelor's degree in health care science from an accredited institution.

* Licensure / Registration
* Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine permitting independent clinical practice, issued by one of the following:
* Any of the 50 United States
* District of Columbia
* Puerto Rico
* Guam
* U.S. Virgin Islands

* The license must be:
* Current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed)
* Valid (issuing authority considers quality assurance information in license renewal decisions)
* Unrestricted (no limitations on scope, location, or type of practice beyond those normally granted)

* Certification
* Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); or
* Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC); or
* Certification by a comparable nationally recognized certifying body, subject to Government approval.

* Experience
* Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.

* Life Support Training
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the:
* American Heart Association (AHA); and/or
* American Red Cross

* Certification must remain current throughout the period of contract performance.

* Credentialing and Privileging
* All PA personnel must successfully complete contract-required credentialing and privileging prior to providing patient care.
* Clinical privileges are granted based on verified education, licensure, certification, experience, and demonstrated competency.

* Skills:
* Experience in deployed, remote, or austere medical environments
* Familiarity with government contracting or military healthcare systems
* Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills

* Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
* The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
* The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
* The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.

* Physical Requirements:
* Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
