Compensation depends upon candidate's years of experience and internal equity.

 Occupational therapist starting salary: $73,840

Physical therapist starting salary: $75,920

Responsibilities:

BSWIR Dallas has a rare opening for full time Physical or Occupational Therapist for our inpatient seating clinic. This position works closely with therapy team to evaluate and assess patient's needs for complex rehab equipment, select and trial appropriate wheelchair and/or seating systems based on patients goals and needs. Performs comprehensive seating evaluations, pressure mapping, completes letter of medical necessity, stays up to date with funding requirements, equipment/technology, schedules appointments with vendors for seating evaluations, coordinates with manufacturer reps for equipment trials or demos. This position will also require patient care outside of the sitting and position role. This role also will be responsible for training/education and program development related to advanced seating and mobility needs.

Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in seating and positioning for complex rehab equipment in a neuro rehab setting. Candidate must have their ATP and/or SMS certification or be willing to obtain their certification.

Qualifications:

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist required

Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
