Overview: PRN; As Needed Responsible for administering patient therapeutic interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The Level I physical therapist assistant practices within the scope of the profession of Physical Therapy for adult and pediatric patients. Responsibilities: Clinical Excellence/Patient Care * Assists therapists and assistants with patients by performing second-person assist duties * Cleans and sanitizes therapy equipment * Maintains a safe and orderly work environment by performing duties such as routine cleaning of equipment, changing mat sheets and pillow cases between patients, restocking linen and returning equipment and supplies to their proper location * Stocks treatment rooms Qualifications: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of an approved two year Physical Therapy Assistant program, with an Associates in Applied Science, majoring as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Previous experience desirable. Must have IL and/or IA state licensure. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS: Must be self-motivated and able to perform duties without constant supervision. Must be able to physically provide treatment in a safe manner using proper body mechanics. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must have IL and/or IA state licensure. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
