Responsibilities:
Are you a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Northridge Hospital Medical Center is committed to helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. We're currently seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!
* Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy).
* Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding any changes in condition or response to treatment.
* Accurately document patient care activities in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
* Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
* Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 yrs. experience as a practicing PTA, including demonstrated teaching responsibilities and evidence of continued education required.
* A graduate of an approved school for Physical Therapist Assistants or equivalent by the licensing board is required.
* The academic curriculum will include coursework on growth and development, gerontology, and therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
* New grads welcome.
* Current State of California Physical Therapist Assistant licensure required. (LIC PTA)
* Current AHA BLS
* Fire Safety cards required (obtain 90 days from start date).
