Founded in 1951, Dignity Health - Mark Twain Medical Center is a 25-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in San Andreas, California. Responsibilities:

Under the general guidance of the Physical Therapy Manager; administers patient evaluations, plans and implements patient treatment  proficiently for all assigned patient diagnoses. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Technicians in patient treatment programs. Assists in supervision, training and orienting new staff. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

* Appropriately assesses patients of varying diagnoses and disorders requiring Physical Therapy according to established guidelines. Age range treated includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Staff will be assigned only age ranges for which they meet education, experience and training.
* Establishes functional goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team based on the patient's rehabilitation potential.
* Develop, implement and modify treatment plan in collaboration with interdisciplinary team to achieve established goals.
* Utilize evidenced based practice as available. Incorporate patient/family needs in development and execution of treatment plan.
* Provides patient/caregiver education.
* Establishes and follows patient precautions. Observes patient's responses to treatment and reports unusual occurrences.

Qualifications:

Required

* Bachelors Other in Physical Therapy from auniversity or college accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or Masters Other in Physical Therapy from auniversity or college accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or Doctorate Of Science in Physical Therapy from a university or college accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
* Physical Therapist: CA, upon hire
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

* Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association
* Experience in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation center and outpatient setting.
