Overview: At St. Luke's, our dedicated team of Physical Therapists strive to build a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture that delivers exceptional patient experiences. What You Can Expect as a Physical Therapist in Hearing and Balance: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist specializing in vestibular and balance disorders to join our hospital-based outpatient clinic. * Diagnose and treat patients with vestibular dysfunctions, balance issues, and related conditions. * Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and improve patient outcomes. * Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with vestibular and balance disorders. * Educate patients and their families on vestibular and balance disorders, treatment plans, and home exercise programs * Primarily located in Fruitland with coverage in Hearing and Balance clinics across the Treasure Valley * Flex schedule: Coverage for PTO, leave of absences, high patient census, and on-call. Days and times will vary Qualifications: * Education: Degree from an accredited physical therapy program * Licenses/Certifications: * Valid license to practice physical therapy in state of practice and * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross. * Preferred Qualifications * Competency based training in vestibular rehabilitation * Experience working with patients with vestibular and balance disorders * Clinical skills in vestibular assessment and treatment techniques Responsibilities: Physical Therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Physical Therapist - Intermediate Level performs all duties including technical skills in screening, evaluation, assessment, program planning, intervention and preventative care, at the full performance level. * Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive evaluation including, but not limited to, collecting subjective and objective data, analysis of data, and creation of treatment plan. * Administers interventions consistent with treatment plan based on evidence based best practice, provider protocol and governing standards. * Follows policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements. * Document care based on standards of practice, patient acuity and/or clinical priorities. * Maintain professional relationships and convey relevant information to other members of the healthcare team within facility and any applicable referral agencies. * Maintain patient confidence and protects organization operations by keeping information confidential. * Independently manages the care of patients with conditions common to the unit/area of assignment. Exercises initiative and independent judgment. Manages caseload and maintains productivity standards for unit consistently. * Serve as clinical mentor, as appropriate. * Direct the work of aides and assistants, as appropriate. * Identifies opportunities for program improvement and seeks appropriate guidance for implementing change. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
