Physical Therapist Assistant

				Overview:

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: 4655 66th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709
Schedule: PRN / As Needed - Monday through Friday, including evenings until 7:00 PM
Compensation: Starting at $25+ per hour, based on experience

Select Physical Therapy's outpatient center in St. Petersburg is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated clinical team. Our staff includes two Physical Therapists, one Physical Therapist Assistant, and one Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist. We primarily treat outpatient orthopedic cases, with additional focus on vestibular rehabilitation and dry needling. We welcome applications from newly licensed graduates as well as experienced PTAs with a background in outpatient orthopedics.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
* Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
* Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications:

* College graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
* Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
* Valid State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License (or license in process)
* CPR Certification
