POSITION SUMMARY: ​The Retail Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing general duties, including operating cash register, stocking supplies and merchandise, billing and filling prescriptions, and answering telephone calls. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: At least 16 years of age and is attending or graduated from an accredited high school or comparable school or educational institution or GED

 Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Pharmacy Technician in current state. ​Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification within 2 years of initial licensure or within 2 years of hire, if the original date of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is prior to January 1, 2008 

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: At least 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent

 Experience: 1 year pharmacy experience 

Other skills/knowledge: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations.
