				Overview:

***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***

The Pharmacy Technician provides technical and administrative support to pharmacy operations under the LOGCAP / V2X program. Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in medication preparation, dispensing, inventory management, and documentation in support of safe and effective pharmaceutical services within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) or equivalent healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

* Assist the Pharmacist in preparing, dispensing, labeling, and distributing medications in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate pharmacy records, logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.
* Support inventory management, medication storage, and stock rotation.
* Assist with controlled substance accountability and recordkeeping as directed.
* Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
* Provide administrative and technical support to pharmacy operations.
* Participate in inspections, audits, and quality improvement activities as required.
* Support continuity of pharmacy services in deployed, remote, or austere environments.
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* Education/Experience Requirements
* Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.

* Licensure/Registration:
* Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in one of the following jurisdictions:
* One of the 50 United States
* District of Columbia
* Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
* Guam
* U.S. Virgin Islands
* License must remain current (not revoked, suspended, restricted, or lapsed) throughout employment and be acceptable to the applicable licensing authority.

* Certification:
* Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

* Experience:
* No prior experience required.

* Life Support Training:
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or American Red Cross.
* Certification must be maintained in a current status for the duration of the contract.

* Skills:
* Knowledge of basic pharmacy operations and medication handling procedures.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy and multidisciplinary healthcare team.

* Working Conditions:
* None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)

* Physical Requirements:
* Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
