Pharmacy Technician - Full Time (Varying Hours)

Responsibilities:

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, assists pharmacist in providing medications to patients and performs routine duties in hospital pharmacy. 

Specific Duties

* Fills medication carts under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
* Prepares IV piggyback medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
* Orders, unpacks and stores supplies, verifies items received against invoices and stores perishables in refrigerators.
* Delivers supplies and medications to various departments as needed.
* Fills floor stock requests.
* Produces labels via computer for requested medications.
* Compiles outdated medications through monthly inspection of Pharmacy, and returns to appropriate vendor.
* Performs Quality Improvement activities as directed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

* One to two year's experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
* Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required.
