St. Luke's Health System is seeking motivated individuals eager to become Pharmacy Technicians through our PAID Apprenticeship Program. This is your opportunity to learn, grow, and develop in a hands-on, supportive environment-all while getting paid! Classes start every four weeks! Program Details * Full-time, paid position-Get paid while you learn! * Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. * 10-week intensive training program designed to set you up for success * Hands-on experience in classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments * Opportunity to become PTCB certified-St. Luke's covers the cost of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam! * Guaranteed promotion to a Pharmacy Technician role within St. Luke's Pharmacy Services upon successful completion What You'll Do * Learn on the job as you participate in all classroom, lab, and experiential training. * Prepare and process medications-You'll assist in compounding and preparing medication orders under the guidance of pharmacists and experienced technicians. * Manage automated dispensing devices and medical dispensing technology. * Order and receive medications-Be an essential part of the supply chain for pharmacy operations. * Utilize pharmacy technology to support safe and efficient processes. * Maintain high standards in cleaning, logging, recalls, and monitoring medications. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Must be 18 years of age or older. Classes start soon-don't miss your chance to make a difference in healthcare and in your life. Responsibilities: The Pharmacy Technician Apprentice is in training to serve as a pharmacy technician. Activities of the technician apprentice are under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program Coordinator. This temporary position is intended to allow the temporary employee to obtain the required certifications for a Pharmacy Tech position. * Participate in all didactic/classroom, lab, and experiential training as designated by the program curriculum. * Perform the following tasks under supervision: * Compound, prepare and process medications/medication orders for final verification by the pharmacist. * Refill automated dispensing devices, dispensing technology in the medical center. * Order, receive, store incoming medications and supplies * Utilize computer information systems to support pharmacy processes * Complete required cleaning, monitoring, logs, recalls and outdates to established standards * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: * Education: High school diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years of age * Experience: 0 years's experience * Licenses/Certifications: Enrolled in pharmacy technician apprentice program
