As a Pharmacy Tech in the Outpatient Retail Pharmacy at Mercy you will assist the Pharmacist in prioritizing medication orders, and work closely with pharmacist(s) in determining routine daily department needs. You will performs medication order functions such as order interpretation, preparation, drug distribution, and quality assurance, provide exemplary customer service and respect at all times during interactions with patients, customers, healthcare providers and other associates. You will be performing all Pharmacy Technician functions, and provide direction and guidance to other technicians and pharmacy interns during their training in pharmacy drug distribution and operational matters when requested.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* Prior retail or hospital outpatient pharmacy technician experience, preferred
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Active Pharmacy Certification or Provisional Certification Required. Provision Certificaitons must obtain State Certification within 12 months

Schedule: Part time, variable shift (0745-615 Mon-Fri) (945-215 Sat/Sun)

Physical Requirements:

Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently)
