				Overview:

As our Certified Pharmacy Tech II at CHI St VIncent, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You'll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients.

You'll build trust each day by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist's guidance. You follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times. You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications.

CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. Responsibilities:

* Shall possess the personal characteristics necessary for successfully fulfilling his/her responsibilities. These characteristics include good communication skills, initiative, and attention to detail, flexibility, and cooperation.
* Preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique, following USP797/800 requirements, using LAWs or CAIs 
* Managing expired IV medications, returns and credits 
* Monitoring and documentation of environmental conditions
* Must have training in:  applicable EHR, pharmacy automation, sterile compounding, and computer applications including Microsoft Word

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED Required 
* Current Arkansas Pharmacy Tech License required, or Arkansas Pharmacy Intern License required
* Previous experience in an acute care or retail pharmacy required
