POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pharmacy Shipping Associate is responsible for packing and shipping prescriptions according to client specifications and is responsible for other duties assigned.

Responsibilities:

* Perform routine and professional pharmacy functions.
* Accurately pack and ship prescription orders for Eagle Pharmacy in a timely manner.
* Responsible for stocking freezers with gel packs.
* Follow all procedures and pack-out processes when shipping an order.
* Respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws.
* Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
* Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements
* Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work site.
* Responsible for keeping an adequate stock of boxes and supplies at shipping station.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* High School diploma or equivalent
* One (1) year of logistics experience
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* One (1) year of previous pharmacy experience with exposure to fulfillment of prescription orders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Ability to lift 20lbs
* Ability to work in a standing environment
* Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously
* Ability to perform repetitious work accurately
* Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
* Ability to learn from a variety of techniques
* Ability to follow established process flows
* Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations, exhibiting flexibility in changing situations
* Attention to detail
* Work independently with little supervision and meet daily expectations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Location of job activities 100% inside
* Noise and / or vibrations exposure
* Reaching (overhead), handling, and feeling
* Stand, bend, stoop and sit for prolonged periods of time
* Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds
