Fully Remote opportunity (within our approved hiring footprint)

Monday - Friday, 8a-5p

The Pharmacy Business Specialist assumes responsibility for managing:

  All contracting activities for retail and specialty pharmacy locations including licensing, credentialing, certification, and compliance activities in conjunction with the pharmacy business team, pharmacy operations leaders, PSAOs, and other relevant Novant Health stakeholders.

  Enrollments and notifications to appropriate parties (NPI, NCPDP, NCBOP) regarding pharmacy permits, changes of address, changes of ownership, etc.

  Processes, policies, and procedures that assure Novant Health pharmacies meet local, regional, payor, and corporate standards for patient care, patient safety, compliance, and clinical practices as outlined in statutes, regulations, credentialing standards, policies, procedures, forms, contracts, and other documents.

  Financial and business functions for retail and specialty pharmacies, including but not limited to accounts receivable management in partnership with appropriate vendors and finance partners, strategic PBM relationship management and claims analysis[BM1] , and financial analytics.

  Compliance, payer, regulatory notifications related to pharmacy transactions (opening new sites, closures, relocations, file transfers, buy and operate)

  Other projects and assignments with the Pharmacy Business Team as needed.

Qualifications:

* Education:  Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required.  Bachelor's degree or PharmD is accepted, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. 
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, required. Two years of applicable regulatory and business experience, preferred. 
* Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Licensed to practice pharmacy (RPh or PharmD) in the applicable state(s) and in good standing with the board of Pharmacy(ies), required.
* Additional Skills Required: The Pharmacy Business Specialist assumes responsibility for managing:
