Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision the incumbent provides drug information and assists physician in providing appropriate drug therapy for pediatric adult and geriatric patients. The incumbent compounds prepares mixes manufactures and dispenses medicines and preparations. Incumbent also oversees medications prepared by Pharmacy Technicians. This position reports to the Director Pharmacy.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
* Knowledge of unit dose systems IV admixture chemotherapy clinical pharmacology pharmacokinetics and drug use evaluation required
* Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD degree
* Must have current registration as pharmacist in the State of California prior to start date.
* Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred
* PGY1 residency
* Current PALS certification preferred
* ENLS
