Responsibilities: * Ensure the appropriate handling, processing and dispensing of all designated high risk medications in accordance with hospital policy. * Ensures the timely clarification of medication orders. * Assures entries to the patient medication profile present no significant problems in regard to drug interactions, drug-allergy interactions, incompatibilities, therapeutic duplications or patient safety, and intervenes as appropriate. * Prepares, verifies and dispenses medications in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing available safety features (eg, barcoding) as outlined in our facility policy. Qualifications: Miniumum: * B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm D. * Valid Arizona pharmacist license Preferred * One year hospital experience * Strong clinical pharmacy skills * Previous experience with Hospital Pharmacy computer systems
