				Overview:

Shift:  Various shifts Monday-Friday + every 4th weekend rotation from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

* Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to cost containment, waste reduction, and productivity improvement within the hospital pharmacy department.
* Accurately and efficiently prepares and dispenses medications, including unit-dose, IV admixtures, and automated dispensing systems, in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
* Collaborates effectively with physicians, nurses, case management, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and appropriate medication therapy.
* Maintains professional, compassionate, and respectful interactions with patients, families, hospital staff, and the community.
* Monitors medication and supply inventory levels, ensures proper storage and handling, and initiates timely reordering to maintain uninterrupted patient care.
* Performs routine and scheduled quality control activities.
* Ensures compliance with HIPAA and hospital confidentiality policies by securing, handling, and properly destroying patient-sensitive documents, labels, and materials not included in the permanent medical record.
* Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards to promote a culture of patient safety and quality improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:

* B.S. Degree in Pharmacy
* Doctor of Pharmacy preferred

Experience:

* Experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities in hospital Pharmacy preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

* Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Iowa
*  Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons is preferred
