Schedule:

M-F: 4, 10 hour shifts. 7am-5:30pm, and 10am-8:30pm once a week.

Sa-Su: 7am-5:30pm

As a Pharmacist In Charge you will:    

* Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
* Supervise and direct pharmacy staff in key operational areas including scheduling, purchasing, and clinical responsibilities.
* Collaborate with pharmacy management to implement efficient daily operations and quality improvement or cost containment strategies.
* Provide clinical and technical support to pharmacy and regional staff, fostering a team-based care model.
* Respond promptly and accurately to pharmaceutical inquiries from customers and internal staff, interpreting clinical needs and providing expert advice.
* Maintain comprehensive patient records, including medical history, lab data, and concurrent medications (including OTC and alternative therapies).
* Accurately document all communications with healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers in the pharmacy system.
* Secure and maintain necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and corporate policies.
* Enforce safe practices for the procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medications and biological products.
* Document all communications and clinical interventions in the patient's medical record, including interactions with families and caregivers.
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support the pharmacy team and patient care goals.

Qualifications:

Qualifications   

Required:

* Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or equivalent)
* Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice
* Demonstrated pharmacy experience
* In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws and both federal and state regulations related to long-term care
* Familiarity with pharmaceutical care practices for long-term care residents
* Proficiency in computer use, including pharmacy management systems
*  

Desired: 

* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
* Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings
