Job description: Responsible for assisting and leading different aspects of procurement, pricing, availability, inventory management, and control of all pharmacy group purchases. Researches backorders and locates substitute products as necessary. Establish reports for reviewing procurement of pharmaceuticals. Researches best possible source of procurement with the goal of achieving maximum contract compliance and works with Contract Analysts to obtain crossreferencing information. Collects, analyzes, and presents data relating to group purchasing to VP. Evaluates and orders narcotics based on facility process for ordering and in conjunction with DEA requirements.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
* 1 year hospital pharmacy experience as a pharmacy technician or similar experience
* Knowledge of medical terminology and drug nomenclature
* Competency with computer based automated purchase order system Experience with analytical research Computer competency - Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Project)
* Hight School Diploma or GED required
* BS in Finance or Accounting preferred
* State of Colorado Pharmacy Tech license required
Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
